Mornings and Evenings with Spurgeon

Mornings and Evenings
with Spurgeon

Mornings and Evenings with Spurgeon is a personal devotional book, with one for the morning and one for the evening. Twice a day Spurgeon provides us with a scripture to read, and then he explains it for us. I have started using this in my daily life, and it is a marvelous way to figure out what scriptures to read during my quiet time. I would highly recommend this book to all ages of readers!

Praise for Mornings and Evenings with Spurgeon:

“Each day for three years Spurgeon has spoken and continues to speak to my husband and I. How rich it is to be in the audience of this great man of the faith as we drink of his Godly wisdom. Most days his encouragement speaks directly to our current need and we feel as though God had him write this many years ago just for us. Everyone should have one and use it along with their Bible each day!”
-Karen Eppler

“The beautiful, paperback book is an excellent tool for daily devotions. Inside you will find dated entries, with one page for the morning entry and another page for the evening's entry. This can be re-read year after year, after year.”
-Mrs. White

“I was blessed with a copy of Mornings and Evenings with Spurgeon by Charles H. Spurgeon from New Leaf Publishing. It has been such a blessing. As I have read, I have posted selections on my blog that have been deeply moving to me, and have been amazed at how many readers were also inspired by Spurgeon’s words as deeply as I was. I highly recommend this devotional!”

“After owning and reading this book for about a month, I'm very pleased with the overall construction of it. It's held up to being read and carried in my book bag or my pocket every day since receiving it. I'm also very pleased with the contents. I would highly recommend this book to anyone in search of a daily devotional who wants something more than most of the cotton candy-like fluff being passed off as Christian literature these days.”

Books I reccomend

I love to Read (with a capital R!) so I am posting a few books that I have enjoyed so that you can look for them at the Library next time you go.

THE INHERITANCE CYCLE
The Inheritance cycle is defiantly first in the list. Now, don't let their size frighten you! They are marvelous books.  So far, Christoper Paolini (A homeschooler) has written three and I am working on the third. His fourth is called Inheritance and hasn't come out yet I am so excited to see what Chris'll do with it. I highly recommend this trilogy (almost a cycle)

100 CUPBOARDS
100 cupboards is a trilogy written by N.D Wilson. They are full of adventure and fun! 100 cupboards is followed up by Dandelion Fire, and the Chestnut King.
